SAFETY BELTS

The Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Belt Program was created at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to combat low safety belt use among the nation’s CMV drivers. The 2007 CMV driver safety belt usage study found that 65 percent of CMV drivers wear safety belts.
